Bio:
Danna Ozbun
Mainly self-taught I have enjoyed working in several areas of glass art since early 1990's when I took my first stained glass class. Being absolutely addicted to the glass, I began to explore the areas available within this medium.
I ventured into lampworking, but my main interest was in stained glass. A couple of years later I started work for a local stained glass store and was introduced to the art of fused glass. That was one of the most intriguing art forms I had come across. In late 2005, I opened a shop in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where I continued working with glass fusing, lampworking and stained glass. I continue to learn and share the art of fused and stained glasss with the wonderful people that come into the studio. My first formal fusing class was with Jayne Persico on embossing glass. I was amazed at all that was going on in the fusing world. In 2006 a friend talked me into taking a class with Bert Weiss on fusing sinks, glass casting with sand! Which in turn lead to a box casting class at Bullseye Glass Co. in Portland, Oregon. In 2007, I was able to take a lost wax casting class with Jayne Persico at Ed Hoy’s International and in 2008, Dichroic Sculpture with Kent Lauer at D&L Stained Glass Supply.
